Ala Bali is a growing cross-border gifting brand that allows people living abroad to choose real gifts and send them directly to their loved ones in Egypt. The idea is simple, modern, and full of emotion: select a gift, choose an occasion, and deliver love from miles away, whether the sender is in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Europe, or anywhere else.
When The Portal began working with Ala Bali, the brand already had the foundations of a strong concept and a passionate team behind it. But the emotional value of the idea wasn’t fully reflected across the identity, the website, or the communication. Our role was to elevate a meaningful one, and help it express its story in a clearer, warmer, and more powerful way.
We were genuinely happy working with them, and the challenge became an exciting opportunity to build a brand experience that truly matches its purpose.
The existing brand had a beautiful mission, but it wasn’t fully communicated. The visual identity lacked harmony, the messaging didn’t highlight the emotional idea of “gifts across distance,” and the website experience felt unclear, especially for a service that depends on trust, speed, and simplicity. The app and website both needed clearer storytelling, smoother UX, and a structure that guides users emotionally not just functionally.
The challenge was never about weakness, it was about unlocking the potential that already existed.
The transformation became visible in every touchpoint.
The new visual identity united the colors, the mood, and the emotional expression of the brand. Even the logo was refined to reflect connection blending the letter “A,” the shape of a gift, and a subtle sense of infinity.
The website was redesigned from the ground up. Clearer pages, organized categories, heartfelt messaging, and a smoother, intuitive user journey. Content was rewritten to create emotion instead of simple descriptions of words that speak to the heart of someone living abroad.
The product structure shifted to meaningful moments: Mother’s Day, Ramadan, birthdays, thank you, miss you, celebrations… making the platform easier, smarter, and emotionally driven.
Ala Bali finally looked and felt like the brand it was meant to be.
